Uncultivated forest

The idea to explore the Haguenau forest and to extract its artistic potential came from our group of photographers. This forest is extremely large and gives you the feeling of a dense labyrinth. Its beauty comes in great part from its complexity and its abundance of shrubs, branches and grasses… Often full of surprises and singularities, the forest soothes one’s soul with its poetic intensity. I photographed it mostly during fall and winter, in thick fog with reddish hues. The red, ochre and golden lights cast a particularly mysterious spell in those seasons.
